As we endeavour to bring practical support and mentorship to people affected by incarceration, I am grateful that I can rely on my faith in Jesus Christ. When we answer the call to meet people on the fringes, and offer them acceptance and belonging, we are doing his work.
Because of this greater calling, I know the Holy Spirit is working in the lives of those we serve. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
I know our efforts make a difference, even when it’s not obvious. I am confident that, quietly and through the years, the Holy Spirit changes lives. For me it is a joy to witness this, and participate in his work by showing up and meeting people wherever they are.
I am also thankful you have partnered with us in answering this call, and I hope your faith is strengthened by the unseen life-changing power of the Holy Spirit.
