Thank you to First West Foundation for awarding us a $10,000 grant from the Envision Financial Community Endowment.
This funding will help us pursue our mission to empower and equip volunteers to build practical mentoring relationships with people affected by incarceration.
Specifically, we plan to invest the grant in upgrading our volunteer management system.
Last year, First West Foundation granted us $20,025 to help fund No One Leaves Alone (NOLA), which provides post-incarceration support for people in Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
This year’s grant will help us continue to grow NOLA, as well as our other programs: prison mentorship and Hidden Treasures.
Upgrading our volunteer management system will help ensure that every volunteer has a positive and purposeful experience—from recruitment to training to active volunteering and beyond.
“We are so grateful that First West Foundation has once again supported our efforts to bring practical support and mentoring opportunities to people in prison and on parole,” said Raymond Robyn, our Executive Director. “We applaud the foundation for investing in nonprofits and helping to make our communities safer and more inclusive.”
Thank you to our dedicated and compassionate volunteers! You make it possible to reach people in prison and the community and offer them the support they need to be successful.
