Gala 2025

Raising Hope

Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 5:30 pm

Garden Park Tower in Abbotsford, BC

Every person impacted by incarceration carries a story of struggle, strength, and the hope to begin again. At M2W2, we’ve seen firsthand how mentorship and community can transform lives: from isolation to belonging, from despair to purpose. The Hearts of Gold Gala is a celebration of these stories—and the people who make them possible.

We are honoured to welcome Dr. Ruth Elwood Martin, MD, physician, prison health advocate, and co-editor of Arresting Hope and Releasing Hope, two powerful books amplifying the voices of incarcerated women and those working toward healing behind bars.

Keynote Talk & Book Signing: Hear Dr. Martin share from her years of experience as a prison physician and advocate for justice, dignity, and transformation in corrections.

Program: MC is comedian Cliff Prang. Silent and live auctions. Live wood workshop demo.

M2W2 is a faith-based nonprofit that supports individuals impacted by incarceration through mentorship, resources, and community. We walk alongside people on their journey toward healing by offering one-on-one prison mentorship and post-release support through our No One Leaves Alone (NOLA) program. We also provide employment opportunities at our Hidden Treasures Thrift Store and M2 Workshop, where participants build job skills and confidence. We focus on relationships at every step, grounded in compassion, trust, and accountability. Helping people navigate reentry fosters lasting transformation that strengthens individuals, reunites families, and builds safer, more connected communities. Everyone deserves a second chance.
