The Carpenter Woodshop Open House
You helped make this space possible for people gaining work experience after incarceration. Let’s celebrate!
Meaningful work is essential to successful reintegration, yet extremely challenging to find.
For people returning to our community after incarceration, meaningful work provides stability, confidence, and practical experience as they rebuild their lives.
However, gaps in employment, limited opportunities, and the lingering stigma of having a criminal record make it hard for someone to get a foothold, even when they’re ready to move forward.
Thank you for helping us change that story.
With support from M2W2 community members like you, we’ve created a hands-on environment where people impacted by incarceration can overcome the barriers to stable work and start building a hopeful future. At The Carpenter Woodshop, they can gain work experience, learn practical woodworking and general labour skills, and build relationships with skilled volunteers from our community.
After months of renovations, The Carpenter Woodshop is finally ready for its first official Open House.
Let’s celebrate the Woodshop together!

Give Toward the Woodshop
The Carpenter Woodshop is only possible thanks to generous community support. The Open House is a free event, but we would appreciate a gift to help cover the cost of food, activities, and the ongoing work of this creative space. We recommend $25 per person.
