Beyond Incarceration

Helping people impacted by incarceration rebuild their lives through mentorship, reintegration support, and meaningful work experience.

Without support, starting over after incarceration can seem impossible.

Many incarcerated people want to build a better future, but they face serious barriers when they return to the community.

  • Stable housing is hard to find

  • Employment opportunities are limited

  • Relationships are fractured

Too often, former inmates are expected to rebuild their lives without any support. And without help, the cycle continues. People remain isolated, families struggle to heal, and prisoners who received second chances get pulled back into destructive habits.

No one should have to rebuild their life alone.

Transformation happens through steady relationships, compassionate support, and a community willing to show up.

Since 1966, M2W2 has served people impacted by incarceration through Christian mentorship, practical resources, and opportunities for growth.

In the last year:

107

individuals received mentorship inside correctional institutions

62

individuals received reintegration support through NOLA

30

individuals gained work experience at Hidden Treasures

120

volunteers served in mentorship roles

4,863

volunteer hours supported participants on their journey toward stability

Your Support Makes These Stories Possible

Your support provides the practical help people need to rebuild stable, purposeful lives.

Two hands clasping each other in a handshake

Our prison mentorship program connects people in prison with trained mentors who offer companionship, encouragement, and an outside perspective. These relationships create space for trust to grow and healing to begin.

Community Reintegration

NOLA supports people as they transition from prison back into the community. Participants are connected with relationships and resources in five key areas: housing, health, employment, education, and relationships.

Work Experience

Work and Life Experience at Hidden Treasures & the Woodshop

Through Hidden Treasures and the Woodshop, people impacted by incarceration gain hands-on work experience, build practical skills, and connect with supportive volunteers and staff. These are low-barrier environments where mentoring, encouragement, and learning happen through shared work.

Here’s how you can help:

1. Partner With M2W2

Choose how you want to support the mission, whether through giving, volunteering, prayer, or church partnership.

2. Help Rebuild Lives

You help participants receive mentorship, reintegration support, job training, and practical resources for getting back on their feet.

3. Strengthen Your Community

Restored lives contribute to stronger families, safer communities, and a future where no one has to walk alone.

You can help change the direction of someone’s life.

Without support, people impacted by incarceration face overwhelming barriers to housing, employment, education, and community connection. Their hope fades, and 70% are reconvicted within two years of release.

But when you support them through M2W2:

Prisoners find compassion instead of judgment
People leaving incarceration have mentors and practical support
Individuals find stable employment and housing
Relationships begin to heal
Communities become safer and stronger.

Help Create Hope Beyond Incarceration

Your support helps people impacted by incarceration take the next step toward stability, dignity, and a new future.
