Volunteer

Volunteers are at the Heart of Mentoring

Volunteers can serve in one of four areas:

  • Mentor individuals inside correctional institutions.

    • Volunteers at federal institutions need to complete Correctional Services Canada (CSC) application forms, fingerprinting, and CSC training.

    • Volunteers at provincial institutions need to complete a Criminal Record Check and prison orientation.

  • Support community reintegration for formerly incarcerated persons.

Volunteers in our NOLA community reintegration program must watch a 45-minute video and complete a short test. After completing the volunteer application process, we will send you a link to the video and test.

  • Help out in the store, working alongside persons on parole or work release.

  • Lend your skills to our new mechanical/woodworking training hub.

In addition to filling out an application form, you will need to complete:

  • A volunteer interview

  • Statement of Confidentiality

  • Two personal reference checks

  • Agree to our Statement of Faith
