Beyond Incarceration

Celebrating the value of each human being

Prison Mentorship

Inclusive, Non-Judgmental Companionship

Our prison mentorship program brings companionship and an outside perspective to folks in prison. These relationships provide a safe space for trust to grow and healing to occur.

No One Leaves Alone (NOLA)

Community Reintegration

NOLA offers post-prison support, connecting people with the resources and relationships they need for a successful transition. Participants access support in five areas: housing, health, employment, education, and relationships.

Work Experience

Work and Life Experience at Hidden Treasures & the Woodshop

At Hidden Treasures people on parole, work release, or Escorted Temporary Absence (ETA) can gain employment experience alongside store staff and volunteers. Store proceeds help support our organization.

Introducing the Woodshop

The Woodshop is a low-barrier opportunity for individuals impacted by incarceration to connect with skilled volunteers in a hands-on, empowering environment.

The goal is simple but profound: to create a place where people can learn, grow, and work together while developing practical skills in woodworking, mechanical repair, and general labour.

We follow a mentoring model where teaching, encouragement, and community naturally emerge through shared work.

Stories of Change

Who We Are

It started with one relationship. In the 1960s, Dick Simmons, an American pastor visited a young man in prison who had been rejected by his family. That visit turned into a mentorship and eventually a prison ministry that reached 11 US states. The ministry later expanded into Canada.

Today, Mentoring Toward Wholeness Together Association (M2W2) is a Canadian nonprofit organization based in Abbotsford that serves people from Victoria to Kamloops. M2W2 is a prison ministry program that has changed thousands of lives for the better.

Mission

Mentoring Towards Wholeness Together, those impacted by incarceration.

Vision

To transform the lives of individuals impacted by incarceration through Christian mentorship, resources, and opportunities.
