Mentoring changes lives.

Around 50% of individuals detained in custody are reconvicted within two years of release.

M2W2 exists to change that.

In 2024:

107 individuals received mentorship in prison

61 individuals benefited from NOLA’s comprehensive approach, which included finding stable housing, securing employment, and reconnecting with families.

30 individuals received work experience at our Hidden Treasures Thrift Store

120 volunteers experienced firsthand the dignity and importance of walking with someone who had been affected by incarceration

“Those who are involved with and supported by M2W2 have among the lowest rates of recidivism among federal offenders.”

Who We Are

It started with one relationship. In the 1960s, Dick Simmons, an American pastor decided to visit a young man in prison who had been rejected by his family. That visit turned into a mentorship and eventually a prison ministry that reached 11 US states and an expansion into Canada. Today, Mentoring Toward Wholeness Together Association (M2W2) is a Canadian nonprofit organization based in Abbotsford that serves from Victoria to Kamloops and is a prison ministry program that has changed thousands of lives for the better.

Mission

Mentoring Towards Wholeness Together, those impacted by incarceration.

Vision

To transform the lives of individuals impacted by incarceration through Christian mentorship, resources, and opportunities.
